In a pointed letter released ahead of RFK Jr.’s confirmation hearing, Caroline Kennedy, a cousin of RFK Jr., openly criticized his nomination by highlighting serious concerns regarding his fitness for the role. The letter, shared via social media platforms, emphasized her long-standing relationship with her cousin, stating, “I have known Bobby my whole life; we grew up together,” and proceeded to describe him as a "predator," referencing his controversial views on vaccines.

Caroline's remarks come as Robert F. Kennedy Jr. prepares for a contentious confirmation hearing on Wednesday, where he is set to face direct questioning from senators. In her scathing message, Caroline Kennedy argued that his positions on vaccines alone disqualify him from overseeing agencies like the CDC and FDA, which play pivotal roles in public health policy.

“He lacks any relevant government, financial, management, or medical experience,” she added, raising alarms about the potential implications of his nomination in the Trump administration. Caroline also condemned RFK Jr.’s history as a vaccine skeptic, asserting that his views are “dangerous and willfully misinformed.”

Throughout his career, RFK Jr. has created a name for himself as a vocal opponent of vaccines, once controversially alleging a link between vaccinations and autism. While he has stated recently that he does not aim to restrict vaccines, his reputation among health officials remains contentious.

The letter highlighted Caroline’s deeper concerns regarding her cousin’s personal behavior, accusing him of exploiting the vulnerable situations of parents seeking medical solutions for their children. She wrote that RFK Jr. has a troubling past which included drug abuse, reportedly mentioning how he encouraged substance use among younger family members.

Moreover, Caroline claimed that her cousin's historical actions raised significant ethical questions, including accusations of animal cruelty, alleging that he participated in violent acts with animals. She insisted that both her father, John F. Kennedy, and her uncle, Robert Kennedy, would both be "disgusted" by the man he has become.

As RFK Jr. faces scrutiny, he remains steadfast in his mission to reform health policy and claims to pursue improvements in vaccine safety. However, his past actions and controversial viewpoints are expected to dominate discussions during the hearing.
