The US has unveiled its plans for a New Gaza that would see the devastated Palestinian territory rebuilt from scratch.

Slides showed dozens of skyscrapers stretching along the Mediterranean coast and housing estates in the Rafah area, while a map outlining the phased development of new residential, agricultural, and industrial areas for the 2.1 million population.

They were presented during a signing ceremony at the World Economic Forum in Davos for President Donald Trump's new Board of Peace, which is tasked with ending the two-year war between Israel and Hamas and overseeing reconstruction.

We're going to be very successful in Gaza. It's going to be a great thing to watch, Trump declared.

Trump emphasized his background in real estate, stating, It's all about location. And I said: 'Look at this location on the sea. Look at this beautiful piece of property. What it could be for so many people.'

During the presentation, it was revealed that the new plan includes building more than 100,000 permanent housing units, educational centres, and medical facilities in designated areas. A new port and airport are also planned to be implemented near the Egyptian border.

Redevelopment would proceed in four phases, beginning in Rafah and moving north to Gaza City, integrating zones for tourism, residential complexes, and industrial facilities throughout the region.

As the details of this ambitious reconstruction were disclosed, discussions of security and demilitarization formed a significant portion of the dialogue, especially with the political dynamics involving Hamas and Israel remaining contentious.

Jared Kushner noted the importance of removing rubble and preparations already in progress, asserting the belief that completing the construction in two to three years is achievable.

Despite ongoing humanitarian concerns and the complex realities on the ground, Trump's administration remains focused on what they term catastrophic success in transforming Gaza into a prosperous area.
