WASHINGTON (AP)—A recent AP-NORC poll shows a growing discontent among various voter demographics that helped propel Donald Trump back to the presidency. Conducted over recent days, the survey highlights declining support particularly among Hispanic adults, younger voters, and men.

Trump’s approval rating among Hispanic individuals has plummeted to about 25%, a stark decrease from around 40% in early 2025. This discontent is attributed not only to the ongoing war in Iran impacting gas prices but also to his immigration policies that many within this community now disapprove of. Recent figures suggest only 18% of younger Hispanic voters approve of his handling of immigration.

In terms of young voters, Trump has seen a decline from 39% approval to just 28% among those under 45. The poll notes that younger women in particular view his economic strategies unfavorably, with only 20% expressing confidence in his approach.

Moreover, Trump’s overall approval among men has also waned, dropping from 47% at the start of his term to 38%. Significant dissatisfaction is noted among Black men, with only 10% affirming his economic handling.

Despite these declines, Trump's core base remains supportive, with approximately two-thirds of Republicans still backing him. However, there's emerging frustration among younger Republicans and a noticeable gap between MAGA supporters and non-MAGA Republicans, showing a potential rift as Trump navigates his second term.

The poll reflects critical insights for Trump's administration as he confronts increasing dissatisfaction within significant factions of the electorate.
