NEW YORK (AP) — On Saturday morning, an alarming incident unfolded at the famed Grand Central subway station, where three people were found stabbed. Responding to an emergency call at approximately 9:40 a.m., New York Police Department (NYPD) officers encountered a man armed with a knife on the station's platform. In the ensuing confrontation, the officers shot the man, who was subsequently transported to a hospital in critical condition, though details regarding the number of shots fired remain unclear.

The stabbing victims, which include an 84-year-old man, a 65-year-old man, and a 70-year-old woman, have all been reported to be in stable condition at a local hospital. Additionally, two police officers involved in the response are receiving evaluations at the hospital.
