Israel's defense minister has stated that Israeli forces are tightening the siege around Gaza City by creating a military corridor toward the coast. Defense Minister Israel Katz warned residents to evacuate or risk being labeled as terrorists and supporters of terror, as ongoing Israeli airstrikes have reportedly led to numerous civilian casualties.

On Wednesday alone, hospitals in Gaza City reported 45 deaths due to Israeli attacks, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) has halted its operations in response to the dire humanitarian conditions exacerbated by the intensified military actions.

The situation is compounded by a new peace proposal from the U.S. that Hamas is reportedly poised to reject, as mediation efforts by Arab and Turkish diplomats introduce additional complexities to the ongoing conflict. The Israeli military is framing the operation as crucial for capturing the remaining hostages taken in previous attacks, while humanitarian organizations call for the protection of civilians under international law.

Katz warned that the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) would not tolerate non-compliance, indicating that those who remain in the conflict zone would face dire consequences amid continuous military activities. The ongoing conflict has raised alarms within the international community, particularly concerning humanitarian access and civilian protections in war-torn Gaza City.
