In brief

Saudi Aramco’s adjusted net income for the third quarter of 2026 rose 9 % year‑on‑year to US$31.2 billion, driven by refining gains and operational flexibility. The company also completed initial production at the Zuluf crude oil increment, announced a 49‑percent stake in AI firm HUMAIN, and maintained export stability amid geopolitical tensions.

In Riyadh, Saudi Aramco announced that its adjusted net income for the third quarter of 2026 rose 9 % year‑on‑year to US$31.2 billion, a result that will affect the company’s shareholders, employees and the broader Saudi economy.

The figure represents an increase from US$28.6 billion in the same period of 2025. Cash flow from operating activities grew to US$38.7 billion from US$36.1 billion a year earlier, while free cash flow climbed to US$28.2 billion from US$23.6 billion.

Downstream earnings before interest and taxes surged 234 % year‑on‑year, citing stronger refining margins. On the upstream side, the company said production had begun at the Zuluf crude oil increment, and other major projects—including Jafurah phase two, the Fadhili Gas Plant expansion, and the Dammam development project—remained on schedule.

Aramco also highlighted that its East‑West Pipeline continues to provide export flexibility, and that it is exploring additional overseas storage capacity and alternative export routes to strengthen its global supply network.

The energy giant disclosed that it has acquired a 49‑percent stake in AI firm HUMAIN, transferring assets and contributing about US$2.6 billion in cash, a move intended to broaden its presence in the fast‑growing artificial intelligence sector.

President and CEO Amin H. Nasser said geopolitical uncertainty and attacks on key energy facilities had intensified pressure on global energy supplies during the third quarter, but that operational flexibility and the company’s supply network had allowed it to continue meeting customer demand.

“Geopolitical uncertainty and attacks on key energy facilities had intensified pressure on global energy supplies during the third quarter, while our operational flexibility and supply network enabled us to continue meeting customer demand,”

Amin H. Nasser followed the statement with an observation that the company’s operational excellence, rapid restoration capabilities, flexibility and resilience had underpinned the 9 % increase in adjusted net income.

The announcement, issued on Nov. 3 2026, comes as Saudi Aramco continues to pursue strategic investments to maintain its market leadership amid a volatile global energy landscape.
