On 7 November 2026 Dubai Municipality announced that registration has opened for the fifth season of Souk Al Freej, a community market that will allow local entrepreneurs, small business owners and productive families to showcase their products across three public parks in the city.
Dubai’s winter season will host the market from 11 December to 17 January, with visitors able to explore stalls from 16:30 to 22:00 each day. The first phase will run from 11 December to 20 December at Nad Al Sheba Rose Garden, followed by a stint at Al Barsha Pond Park from 25 December to 3 January, and a final round at Al Warqa Park from 8 January to 17 January.
Almost 50 free stalls will be available, with ten reserved for supporting activities such as food and beverage kiosks. Participating entrepreneurs will display homemade food, handicrafts, fashion and sustainable products, while families will use the space to test new products and build direct relationships with shoppers.
The Souk serves as part of Dubai Municipality’s effort to activate public parks and expand their role as community destinations that blend shopping, entertainment and cultural experiences with traditional recreation.
Mohammed Abdulrahman Ahli, Director of the Public Parks and Recreational Facilities Department, said Souk Al Freej continues to strengthen its position as a community platform and comprehensive destination offering experiences beyond traditional shopping.
He added that the initiative provides entrepreneurs, small businesses and productive families with organised spaces to showcase their products, communicate directly with the public and expand their customer base.
The forthcoming season will introduce several new cultural and entertainment elements. The “Asian Village Experience” will feature Asian‑inspired designs, food and cultural activities that transport visitors to a miniature Asia within the park setting.
A dedicated Gen Z zone will cater to young audiences, offering free‑play areas for children and creative, interactive workshops designed for attendees of different ages.
Interactive attractions such as a zipline and a treasure hunt will encourage visitors to explore the market, engage with entrepreneurs through challenges and competitions, and enjoy the park’s festive atmosphere.
Dubai Municipality’s Souk Al Freej aims to provide strollers, parents and tourists alike with a vibrant destination where shopping meets cultural enrichment and community spirit. The third installment of this annual initiative will bring together local talent, weekday visitors and holidaymakers alike as the city turns its green spaces into a marketplace of ideas and products.
Registrations for 50 free stalls are currently open and prospective vendors are encouraged to apply early, as the window for the fifth season launches on the same day the announcement was released. The market has become a staple of Dubai’s winter schedule, drawing crowds for its mix of local craftsmanship and lively street‑market vibe.
