In brief
Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 concluded at Dubai World Trade Centre with a focus on how advanced production equipment can strengthen global food security. Global buyers and decision‑makers explored new production lines and major equipment investments. The event, part of a cluster of exhibitions, will move to Dubai Exhibition Centre for its 2027 edition.
Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 wrapped up this week at the Dubai World Trade Centre, bringing together food producers, suppliers and equipment makers from around the world to demonstrate how advanced technology can shift the balance of global food security. The showcase, held on November 7, 2026, drew decision‑makers who were keen to examine production lines that promise greater efficiency and lower operating costs.
The exhibition sat at the heart of a cluster of four co‑located events – GulfHost, ISM Middle East and Private Label Middle East – allowing visitors to follow the full supply chain from ingredient sourcing to retail and hospitality. In this way the event linked the entire food production, retail, and service sectors under one roof.
Over a thousand participants came on the show floor, representing manufacturers, distributors, and buyers across the globe. They convened to learn how new machinery and automation can help meet the growing demand for food products while keeping production costs in check.
Mark Napier, Vice President of inD, described the outcome:
Gulfood Manufacturing 2026 has demonstrated the continued strength of the global food manufacturing industry, with exceptional international attendance and an outstanding calibre of buyers. What has been particularly encouraging is the level of serious commercial engagement on the show floor, with decision‑makers exploring new production lines, evaluating major equipment investments and progressing real business opportunities.
Napier added that the exhibition’s strong attendance reflected Dubai’s resilience and its capacity to support global trade in an uncertain economic climate. He emphasized that food security hinges on reliable production, processing and transport, as well as a network of factories and logistics services that can respond quickly to disruptions.
Technologies showcased ranged from high‑speed processing lines and multimodal packaging stations to advanced sensory testing and robotic automation. Exhibitors highlighted how these systems can improve productivity, maintain product quality, optimise resource consumption, and trim operating costs, giving manufacturers the ability to build future‑ready facilities.
One of the key points was the emphasis on integrated solutions that combine machinery, ingredient management and logistics. Such end‑to‑end approaches, exhibitors said, strengthen resilience by making each layer of the supply chain more adaptable to shifting market demands and geopolitical uncertainties.
Looking ahead, the organizers announced that the next edition of the event will move from the Dubai World Trade Centre to the Dubai Exhibition Centre at Expo City Dubai. The 2027 show is scheduled for November 1‑3 and is expected to attract even larger international crowds.
For industry players, the 12th edition of Gulfood Manufacturing served as a reminder that technology is not just a cost centre but an engine for sustainable growth—propelling the global food system toward greater capability, efficiency and security.
