UK‑Iranian dual national released on bail after alleged terrorist connections to RAF Fairford

A 25‑year‑old dual British‑Iranian citizen was taken into custody in Westminster on Thursday on suspicion of preparing terrorist acts linked to the RAF Fairford airbase, and he has now been granted bail.

Police carried out searches of two homes in Westminster and found no further evidence. The arrest followed a major incident at RAF Fairford, where authorities evacuated dozens of houses after spotting three suspicious vehicles the previous weekend.

In addition to the dual national, five other young men— all UK nationals from London—were arrested on the same day and later released on police bail.

The investigation into the events and any potential threats remains ongoing, authorities said, urging the public to remain alert.
