In a candid interview about his health, former US President Donald Trump stated that he takes more aspirin than doctors recommend, uses makeup to cover bruises, and refrains from regular exercise as he finds it 'boring.'
Trump revealed to The Wall Street Journal that he recently underwent a CT scan, correcting his earlier claim about an MRI scan. At 79, Trump is the oldest president ever inaugurated, and some signs of aging have been apparent, including moments of appearing to doze off during meetings and difficulty hearing questions.
The Journal noted that Trump expressed frustration at the public's focus on his health, insisting, 'My health is perfect.'
During the interview, he discussed his long-term aspirin usage, taking 325mg daily instead of the suggested 81mg for thinning blood and preventing cardiovascular issues, which he credits for avoiding complications.
Trump has consistently addressed the speculation regarding his health, asserting that he has not actually dozed off in public meetings and dismissing the implications of his photos that suggest otherwise. He stated, 'Sometimes they'll catch me with a blink.'
His physician confirmed that Trump's health is exceptional, stating he is well-positioned to fulfill his responsibilities as Commander in Chief.
