An autopsy conducted on the late French streamer Raphaël Graven, who was recognized online as Jean Pormanove, has disclosed that his decease was not the result of trauma. The prosecutor overseeing the matter has confirmed that medical examiners found no evidence of traumatic injuries following his discovery at a residence in Contes, a village just north of Nice, where he was found lifeless on Monday.
Clara Chappaz, a French government minister, expressed her shock at the incident, labeling Graven's death as an "absolute horror," prompting her to initiate a judicial investigation into the surrounding circumstances. As per prosecutor Damien Martinelli, forensic specialists have indicated that Graven's death does not seem to involve third-party interference and is more likely tied to medical or toxicological issues.
Further investigations revealed several bruises and previously healed lesions on Graven’s body, but there were no indications of more severe internal or external injuries, nor any burns. The prosecutor noted that Graven might have been grappling with heart complications and was undergoing treatment for a thyroid-related ailment.
In the wake of the event, representatives from Kick, the streaming platform where Graven shared his live content, stated they are "urgently reviewing" the circumstances surrounding his untimely demise. Reports indicate that Graven, aged 46, had previously been exposed to episodes of violence and sleep deprivation during his streams. He reportedly passed away in his sleep while live broadcasting.
Authorities have taken significant steps in the inquiry, interviewing individuals who were present at the time of the incident, as well as seizing equipment and video recordings to help shed light on what transpired before Graven's passing, which may have contributed to his death.
