In a tragic incident that unfolded today near Eura Airport in Finland, five individuals lost their lives after two civilian helicopters collided mid-air. The collision occurred around noon local time, shortly after the helicopters departed from Tallinn, the capital of Estonia.
Witnesses reported seeing the helicopters take off together, bound for an aviation event taking place at the Piikajärvi Flight Center in Kokemäki. Authorities quickly located the wreckage of the aircraft in a forested area nearby.
Initial investigations reveal that one helicopter carried two passengers, while the other had three on board. Both helicopters were registered overseas, although specific details about their origins have yet to be disclosed.
