Lil Nas X Pleads Not Guilty to Felony Charges Following LA Arrest

The rapper Lil Nas X, also known as Montero Lamar Hill, has entered a plea of not guilty to four felony charges, including assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest. This comes after an incident last week where he was found wandering the streets of Los Angeles while naked.

During an early morning response to a report of a nude man, police allege that the Grammy-winning artist charged at them, leading to a confrontation that resulted in injuries to several officers. Following the altercation, he was taken to a hospital for a possible overdose.

Lil Nas X was arraigned in a Los Angeles courtroom where his bail was set at $75,000. If convicted on all counts, he could face up to five years in prison.

The rapper's actions have sparked significant media attention, with unverified videos showing him dancing down Ventura Boulevard before the incident occurred. Additionally, a passerby reportedly picked up his white cowboy boots and listed them for sale online for an exorbitant price of $10,000.

The artist is expected to drop his latest album 'Dreamboy' later this year.

Lil Nas X has previously made headlines when his single “Old Town Road” became a massive hit, making him the first openly gay man to win a Country Music Association award. He won two Grammy Awards in 2020 for the song.
