Australian actor Julian McMahon, renowned for his memorable performances in TV series like Nip/Tuck and Charmed, has died at the age of 56. His wife, Kelly Paniagua, confirmed that he passed away in Clearwater, Florida, on Wednesday after a battle with cancer. In a heartfelt statement to Deadline, she shared, "Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible."

McMahon's rise to fame began with the supernatural series Charmed, but it was his role as the charismatic plastic surgeon Dr. Christian Troy in Nip/Tuck that solidified his status in the television landscape. The show ran for six seasons from 2003 to 2010, earning him a nomination for a Golden Globe.

His co-star Dylan Walsh expressed his sorrow to Deadline, stating, "We rode this wave together and I loved him. Jules! I know you'd want me to say something to make you smile — all the inside jokes. All those years you had my back, and my god, we laughed. My heart is with you. Rest in peace."

Additionally, McMahon was recognized for portraying Doctor Doom across two Fantastic Four films in 2005 and 2007, and he later joined the cast of FBI: Most Wanted for three seasons. The show’s producer, Dick Wolf, described McMahon's passing as "shocking news."

Born to a former Australian prime minister, McMahon's impactful career even led him to play the role of an Australian prime minister in Netflix's The Residence, showcasing his versatility as an actor. Notably, McMahon was married three times, including a marriage to Australian singer-actress Dannii Minogue, who is the sister of pop icon Kylie Minogue.
