Sydney Towle
Sydney Towle, a TikTok and Instagram influencer, fulfilled her model dream in a Miami Swim Week show.

Sydney Towle, 26, a popular social media influencer who chronicled her experience with a rare, aggressive bile‑duct cancer, has died following complications as the disease spread throughout her body.

Her family announced the death via her social media accounts, citing the battle against cholangiocarcinoma that had metastasised to other organs, concluding the three‑year struggle.

A video message featuring her brother and mother appeared on TikTok, saying Syd went peacefully after the fight, and recalling the perseverance she showed during her illness.

Sydney was in hospice care earlier this week and had captivated more than a million TikTok followers and over 200 000 Instagram fans with her openness, encouraging awareness for rare cancers and self‑advocacy.

In the weeks leading to her death, she shared hospital moments, including videos of the spread of her disease to the peritoneum and her refusal to give up when told end‑of‑life care was only option.

Despite her illness she continued to celebrate life, posting dances, friendly gatherings, and completing her modelling wish at Miami Swim Week, inspiring others to persevere and cherish every moment.

After her announcement, thousands of followers posted messages, expressing gratitude for her candid sharing and wishing her family comfort in the wake of her loss.
