Authorities have increased the reward for information in the disappearance of Nancy Guthrie, who they say was abducted from her home outside Tucson. Law enforcement officials have been combing the desert around her house and going door-to-door asking residents for any information that could break open the case. An alert that went out in a 2-mile (3.2-kilometer) radius of her home asked for any camera footage or reports of suspicious activity over a month’s time.
Guthrie was last seen on January 31 and reported missing the following day. Authorities released a description of a man caught on camera outside her front door the night she disappeared and a description of the backpack he was wearing.
Her children have made heartbreaking video pleas for help, and the case has drawn national attention.
