Analysis of recent video footage has confirmed that Israel struck the Nasser Hospital in Gaza at least four times during a deadly attack on Monday, resulting in at least 20 fatalities, including five journalists.
Initially, reports indicated two blasts occurred, with the second striking first responders and journalists nine minutes after the first. However, new evidence suggests a total of four strikes, with two hitting staircases almost simultaneously during the initial wave, followed by two more within seconds of each other.
Israel’s swift military action has sparked international outrage, as initial narratives from Israeli officials have changed since the attack. They initially expressed regret over harm to civilians while later confirming responsibility and characterizing the operation as necessary against perceived Hamas threats.
In addition to civilian casualties, the strikes have raised serious legal questions about potential violations of international humanitarian law, particularly regarding the impact on protected facilities such as hospitals.
As the conflict in Gaza intensifies, calls for accountability and adherence to international norms have become increasingly urgent among experts and human rights advocates.
