Perez Hilton

Perez Hilton, famed American blogger and gossip figure, has been placed in a Miami hospital after a TikTok livestream that prompted emergency responders.

In the clip, the 44‑year‑old appeared to self‑harm, which led viewers to alert the Miami‑Dade Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.

Deputies arrived at his home, safely recovered him, and set up a local hospital for treatment while crisis‑response teams and licensed mental‑health professionals offered the family support.

He was alone at the time and his TikTok account was suspended shortly after the incident.

Sources confirmed that the sheriff’s office did not name the suspect but affirmed a “mental health crisis” approach, emphasizing de‑escalation.

Hel’s managers, Dante Rusciolelli and Rebekah Kochan, confirmed their awareness of the concerning content but failed to contact him, prioritising his health and privacy.

Hilton, whose real name is Mario Lavandeira, first rose to fame by launching a celebrity gossip website in 2003 and later earning notoriety for snarky commentary.

Over the years, he has revised his brand, adopting a kinder persona and fatherhood after having three children via surrogacy.
