Atlanta police have confirmed that unreleased music by Beyoncé was among several valuable items stolen from a vehicle linked to the singer's tour team. The theft took place on July 8, just two days before Beyoncé's highly anticipated four-night Cowboy Carter tour in Atlanta. According to police reports, hard drives containing her unreleased songs, show plans, and set-lists were taken from a rental car used by choreographer Christopher Grant and dancer Diandre Blue.

After parking their rented Black Jeep Wagoneer outside a nearby food hall, Grant and Blue returned to find the vehicle’s rear window smashed, with two suitcases missing. Among the stolen items were five jump drives containing watermarked music and crucial show materials, as well as a laptop, designer clothes, and Apple AirPods.

Authorities have issued an arrest warrant but have yet to release the name of the suspect involved in the incident. The police are actively utilizing tracking information to locate the stolen laptop and AirPods and have conducted fingerprint analysis on the vehicle. So far, they have found two faint prints but have not recovered the stolen items.

Beyoncé is currently in Atlanta performing as part of her Cowboy Carter stadium tour, which began on July 10, with her final show anticipated for Monday night. Notably, her husband, rapper Jay Z, made a surprise appearance during her performance on the third night. The situation raises serious concerns about the security of creative content and artists' personal belongings while on tour. The BBC has reached out to Beyoncé's representatives for further commentary on the incident.
