A 29-year-old woman, Autumn Bardisa, was arrested in Florida for allegedly impersonating a registered nurse and reportedly providing medical services to a staggering 4,486 patients from June 2024 to January 2025 without appropriate qualifications. Following her contract termination from AdventHealth Palm Coast Parkway due to suspicions around her credentials, a police investigation revealed Bardisa had submitted false documentation, utilizing the license number of another nurse with a similar name. Despite explaining the discrepancies by stating she had changed her surname after marriage, she failed to provide proof when requested.

After being considered for a promotion, her expired nursing assistant license raised red flags for a colleague, leading to her report to authorities. Consequently, a seven-month investigation ensued, culminating in her arrest on August 5, where she was found wearing scrubs at her residence. Flagler County Sheriff Rick Staly emphasized the gravity of the case, stating, “This woman potentially put thousands of lives at risk by pretending to be someone she was not.” Bardisa faces multiple charges, including seven counts of practicing health care without a license and seven counts of using fraudulent identification. She is currently detained at the Sheriff Perry Hall Inmate Detention Facility with a bond set at $70,000, and authorities have urged anyone who may have received treatment from her to reach out via a dedicated email address.
