UK Guards Satellites as Space Arms Race Escalates

Britain’s chief of the Royal Air Force has warned that a new, unprecedented threat now exists in outer space—one that could cripple the satellites many of us rely on for everyday services such as navigation, banking and the internet.

Beale explained that the increasing use of satellites in military operations has triggered “a new arms race” in space. Nations are now racing to secure control over orbital highways and prevent hostile actors from exploiting vulnerabilities.
