On Saturday, November 7, 2026, a CERES‑2 Y3 carrier rocket was lifted off from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre in northwest China carrying four satellites. The launch began at 9:22 AM and the four payloads entered their intended orbit successfully.
The Jiuquan site, one of China’s principal launch facilities, has been a launchpad for numerous missions over the past decades. Today’s launch added four new spacecraft to the less than hundred that have been deployed from the station.
The Chinese launch vehicle, the CERES‑2 Y3, achieved the necessary velocity to reach the satellites’ orbit, confirming the carrier’s readiness for future missions as well as reinforcing China’s expanding presence in outer space.
According to WAM, the launch was conducted without any visible incidents or debris, and the satellites transitioned to their operational orbit in the expected timeframe as monitored by ground control stations.
