Robot Horse and Rider Steal Spotlight at Beijing Conference
The newly opened 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing captivated audiences with a spectacular robot horse performed by Unitree Robotics, the world’s largest humanoid‑robot maker. The robot, accompanied by dancing humanoids, highlighted the company’s latest robotics platforms during the first day of the five‑day event.
The conference also serves as the backdrop for the World Humanoid Robot Games, which commenced Saturday in the capital. More than 2,000 robots from 16 nations compete in a showcase of speed, precision and advanced AI, illustrating the rapid growth of robotics in China and worldwide.
Earlier that day, Unitree announced its debut on the Shanghai stock exchange, a move that reflects the commercial momentum behind the industry’s technological innovations. The robot horse’s performance exemplified both the entertainment potential of robotics and the strategic investments driving China’s industry expansion.
