More than 20 women have recently stepped forward with allegations against Zou Zhenhao, a Chinese student previously convicted of drugging and raping numerous women in London and China. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that since Zou's conviction last month, they have received reports from 23 women detailing their experiences with him. The police stated that these new reports come from women residing not only in Britain but also in China and other regions worldwide. Investigators estimate Zou may have assaulted over 50 women, as suggested by disturbing videos found on his electronic devices.
Zou Zhenhao, 28 years old, was pursuing doctoral studies at University College London from 2019 until 2024. During his trial, it was revealed that he used dating apps such as Bumble as well as Chinese platforms like WeChat and Little Red Book to meet potential victims. He specifically targeted Chinese students who were living in London, often meeting them at social events or through online interactions.
On March 5, a jury convicted Zou on 11 counts of rape, along with drug-related charges linked to sexual assault, voyeurism, and possessing extreme pornography. Although two women testified against him, several others remain unidentified, likely unaware of their victimization due to being drugged. Following his conviction, authorities encouraged additional victims to come forward, hoping to secure more testimonies against the convicted criminal.
