Sean 'Diddy' Combs is facing serious legal action as Latroya Grayson has launched a lawsuit in the Southern District of New York following alleged incidents that occurred during a 2006 contest sponsored by Oklahoma radio station KJAMZ 105.3 FM. The suit, represented by attorney Ariel Mitchell, outlines claims of sexual assault, battery, and racketeering against Combs, Atlantic Records, and several other parties.
Grayson asserts that, at the age of 23, she won tickets to attend a Black Party event, which was held in New York City. The complaint includes allegations that she was “lured” to the event through promotional efforts by Atlantic Records and former employee Mike Savas. Alongside her half-sister, whose identity is not disclosed, Grayson claimed she was a guest at the event scheduled for October 6, 2006.
The complaint details Grayson’s experience at the event, noting that she mingled with notable figures such as rapper Babz from Making the Band and Bonecrusher. However, after consuming two premade drinks, she reported feeling unwell and subsequently lost all recollection of the night, waking up at Saint Vincent’s Medical Center with no memory of how she got there. Grayson alleged that she was drugged, assaulted, and robbed during the party.
The lawsuit further discusses alleged threats made against her as she returned home and claims the defendants engaged in organized crime, supporting Combs in his alleged improper conduct. Savas, named as a co-defendant, was associated with Atlantic Records at that time and now operates a successful venture aligning with the music industry's prominent figures.
Critics have raised concerns over serving Savas legal papers, as he is presently traveling abroad and promotes a seemingly hectic lifestyle through his active YouTube channel and various business endeavors.
The lawsuit has garnered public attention, highlighting ongoing discussions regarding accountability in the entertainment industry and past actions that could lead to legal repercussions today.
