A French court has handed suspended prison sentences and fines to Safine Hamadi and Owen Cenazandotti for aggravated violence linked to the death of popular streamer Raphaël Graven.
Graven, 46, died in a village near Nice in August 2025 while his livestream on the Kick platform was broadcast live to his audience.
The two men were accused of humiliating and abusing Graven in his content, claiming his consent; however, authorities said the death was most likely caused by his pre‑existing health conditions.
Hamadi received an 18‑month suspended prison sentence and a €5,000 fine, while Cenazandotti was sentenced to two years suspended and fined €15,000.
Neither is charged with manslaughter; the court also dismissed allegations of psychological abuse after Graven had stated his consent before his death.
Both individuals are banned from posting on Kick for six months.
The platform itself remains under investigation by French authorities; in a statement to the New York Times, Kick noted it was not a party to the proceedings and made no comment on the outcome.
Graven had amassed more than a million followers across his social media accounts, building a significant community on Kick.
The video of his death was subsequently removed from the platform.
