Fatal Car Crash Near Caen Train Station Claims One Life

A vehicle had a deadly impact with a gathering of people outside a bar adjacent to Caen’s main train station in the Normandy region of northern France.

The incident left one person killed and ten others injured. Authorities arrested a suspect and mobilised an emergency response, setting up a cordon with police cars and ambulances.

The local hospital reported that four victims required treatment in the emergency ward while six received care for less serious injuries. Detectives from Caen’s Specialised Crime Division are leading the investigation.

Local officials warned residents and visitors to stay away from the area around the train station while the investigation continues.
