FBI agents are seeking the public’s help identifying four individuals spotted near a mass shooting in Leland, Mississippi, that left six dead and over a dozen injured during a homecoming celebration this past weekend.

On Sunday, the FBI’s Jackson Field Office released images of one female and three males identified as 'unknown suspects' in association with the shooting. While a motive has not been disclosed, authorities speculate that the gunfire was triggered by a disagreement among several individuals.

The shooting unfolded shortly after a high school football game, marking it as the deadliest incident amidst a series of shootings across Mississippi during the weekend. Tragically, the incident became the 14th mass killing in the U.S. this year, according to tracking databases.

A witness described the scene as horrific, recounting seeing multiple people wounded and blood on the pavement where the shooting took place.

Additionally, two others were found dead following a separate shooting incident in Heidelberg, Mississippi, on the same evening.

The FBI's appeal for help illustrates the urgent need for community cooperation as they investigate this grim episode that has shocked many within the state.
