Ella Langley cancels sold‑out Tulsa concert amid security threat

American country star Ella Langley has pulled the plug on a sold‑out performance at Tulsa’s BOK Center, citing a “serious security threat” that could jeopardise the safety of fans, staff and her touring crew.
The 27‑year‑old announced the decision in a heartfelt Instagram post just two hours before the set‑time, describing it as “incredibly difficult.” The call from a caller claiming “shots fired and bombs” prompted police to reassess the venue that night.
Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenberg said officers had inspected the arena dozens of times previously with no credible threat detected, and that a second sweep with sniffer dogs “confirmed no danger.” He added that the warning had “disrupted the entire event for thousands of fans.”
The BOK Center released a statement prioritising safety, noting that the show would not proceed and apologising for the disappointment. Ticket refunds are to be announced soon, the singer said.
Langley, who had recently set a new record with her single “Choosin' Texas,” which dethroned Mariah Carey’s classic, had already dominated the Academy of Country Music Awards earlier in the month.
