Three individuals have been charged over an attempted arson attack at the offices of a Persian language media organization in north-west London. An ignited container was thrown towards the Volant Media building in Park Royal at around 20:30 BST on Wednesday, but it landed in a car park where the fire rapidly extinguished itself. According to the Metropolitan Police, Oisin McGuinness, 21, Nathan Dunn, 19, both from Watford, and a 16-year-old boy from north London have all been charged with arson with intent to endanger life. They are all British nationals and are scheduled to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court. McGuinness has also been charged with dangerous driving. Thankfully, there were no reports of any damage or injuries following the incident. Two nearby buildings were evacuated as a precaution but were reopened after police confirmed there was no further danger to the public. Police later pursued a black SUV linked to the incident until it crashed on Ballards Lane in Finchley. This attempted attack follows a separate incident where two people were arrested after two bottles thought to contain petrol were thrown at Finchley Reform Synagogue earlier the same day. Additionally, earlier this month, three individuals were charged after four ambulances owned by a Jewish charity were set on fire in north London.
