Four Canadian nationals and two Bermudian nationals were on board when the aircraft went missing early Saturday morning.

THE INCIDENT

A Gulfstream G‑100 operated by Canadian company Latitude Air Ambulance lost contact shortly after 01:00 local time (05:00 GMT) on Saturday, as it was heading from Bermuda’s L.F. Wade International Airport to Boston’s Logan International Airport.

Flight data shows the plane fell more than 4,000 metres (about 13,000 feet) in a few minutes, and radar and radio links disappeared. A debris field matching the aircraft was discovered off the coast of Nantucket in the evening, confirming a crash.

The United States Coast Guard concluded its search on Sunday evening, declaring all six occupants – four Canadian crew members, a patient, and a relative – presumed dead. Latitude Air Ambulance released a statement thanking loved ones and underscoring its commitment to supporting affected families.

Investigation teams are still examining potential causes, including reports of an “electrical issue” that may have triggered the loss of radio and radar connectivity.
