Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reported that a Russian drone attack targeted the radiation shelter at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, specifically impacting the former fourth reactor unit. The incident occurred overnight and resulted in a fire that has since been extinguished. Fortunately, Zelensky indicated that radiation levels remained stable as of Friday morning. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) responded promptly, noting that fire safety personnel and vehicles were on-site shortly after the explosion, and there were no reported casualties.
