In brief

Virginia Giuffre, a key accuser in the Jeffrey Epstein case, is currently hospitalized in Australia following a serious car accident and is overwhelmed with gratitude for the kindness shown to her during this time.

Virginia Giuffre, well-known for her allegations against Jeffrey Epstein, has publicly thanked her supporters while recovering in a hospital after a serious car accident in Australia. According to her family, Giuffre is in serious condition but is grateful for the overwhelming "love and support" she's received. On March 24, a vehicle she was riding in collided with a school bus in western Australia. Following the accident, the bus driver, who was transporting a group of visibly upset children, left the scene to report the incident to the police before returning. Initially, Giuffre appeared to be only "banged up and bruised" but her condition worsened, prompting her admission to the hospital. On social media, Giuffre described the beginning of this year as particularly difficult, indicating the emotional and physical toll the accident has taken. Recently, she had been living with her husband Robert and their children in North Perth, though it has been reported that the couple may have separated after a lengthy marriage of 22 years. Giuffre has been a central figure in allegations of sexual trafficking linked to Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, claiming she was trafficked to Prince Andrew when she was just 17. While Andrew has denied all allegations, he reached a financial settlement with Giuffre in 2022, which did not include any admission of liability or direct apology.
