Women raped by prolific sex offender Zhenhao Zou reveal they were attacked within 24 hours of each other. The first, identified only as Rachel, expressed shock at the subsequent attack and guilt for not reporting hers sooner. Initially, detectives questioned if the two attacks were linked due to their similarities.

Zou received a life sentence in June with a minimum of 24 years for drugging and raping 10 women globally. However, police suspect he may have assaulted as many as 50 more.

Rachel didn't report her rape due to fears of not having enough evidence and concerns about public scrutiny. Following Zou's trial, she learned of the second victim's plight and decided to share her experience with the police.

The testimonies of both women underscore the urgent need for effective victim support systems and the significance of timely police responses to such grave incidents. Zhenhao Zou's actions and the fallout from his victims' experiences reveal problematic areas within the criminal justice system that must be addressed.
