Ethan Dietz, a sophomore at Connors State College, died on Tuesday, according to a statement released by the school. The injury occurred in the second half of a game played this past Saturday in Texas. Although specific details regarding the nature of the injury were not disclosed, initial reports indicate that it may have involved a head injury.

Dietz, a 6-foot-8 forward hailing from Vilonia, Arkansas, was having a solid season, averaging 11 points per game in the early part of the season.
