Russian Drone Strike Hits Second Kyiv Bridge

A Russian drone has raked the Northern Bridge across the Dnipro River, marking a second major blow to Kyiv’s transport links after attacks on the Southern Bridge.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed the damage, noting the road surface was cracked and trolleybus overhead wires snapped. He added that emergency services were already on the scene and that traffic from the left to the right bank was currently blocked.

The strikes have come in quick succession, signalling a new phase of Moscow’s efforts to undermine Kyiv’s critical infrastructure. Klitschko warned that intensified drone and missile raids were beginning to tear the city apart, especially its logistics, housing and key facilities.

While Russian President Vladimir Putin has framed the attacks as retaliatory, Kyiv officials maintain that it was Moscow that initiated the aggressive campaign against civilian targets.
