Rescue Epic: Thai Family Survives 16‑Hour Jet‑Ski Drift

A 50‑year‑old father and his two sons were rescued after spending more than 16 hours floating at sea when their jet‑ski capsized off Koh Samui, Thailand. Local government official Amorn Chomchoey said the family was exhausted and had swallowed a lot of seawater, and that the boys appeared pale.

The local emergency team found them after a prolonged search and immediately provided medical care. They were checked in hospital and discharged shortly thereafter, Chomchoey told AFP.

The incident underscores the importance of rapid rescue operations in Thailand’s popular coastal waters.
