More than a decade after her death, the voice of Australian rock icon Chrissy Amphlett will be heard like never before when three lost songs are released after being found in a garage.

Amphlett, the powerful frontwoman of the band Divinyls, was best known for the chart‑topper "I Touch Myself" and other hits such as "Pleasure and Pain" and "Boys in Town". In 1998 she recorded three tracks with New Zealand musician Tim Finn, former lead singer of Split Enz.

Finn had kept the recordings after the session, but they were thought to be lost until his wife, former Divinyls drummer Charley Drayton, found the two‑inch tape in her garage in 2023.

On Friday the songs will be released as the EP "Some Times". Finn recalls the 1998 studio session in Sydney, where Amphlett was eager for a fresh musical direction and the two worked intensively over several days with Drayton on drums.

In a recent social media post, Finn noted that the tape was still in perfect condition and said it was “incredibly important to me, Charley and those close to Chrissy”. The release will allow fans to experience the collaboration between two legendary frontmen before the world.
