Five injured, one critically wounded in Virginia State University shooting

A shooting incident outside a residence hall at Virginia State University on Saturday night left five people wounded, one of whom was reported as critically injured. Police responded to the scene at approximately 01:28 local time (05:28 GMT) and transported the victims to nearby hospitals.

The university confirmed that all five victims sustained gunshot wounds; four were treated for non‑life‑threatening injuries while the fifth received critical care. At the present, no suspects have been publicly identified or arrested.
