A tourist coach crashed in the south‑eastern Swiss Alps, killing several people and injuring many others, authorities say.
The bus overturned between Susch and Zernez in the Graubünden region late on Thursday afternoon.
A large rescue squad, equipped with several helicopters, was deployed to the scene.
About 48 Dutch passengers were on board the coach, according to the General Dutch Association of Travel Companies.
The spokesperson could not yet confirm the exact number of casualties.
Images from Swiss news sites show the coach lying on its side beside a narrow country road, with ambulances and rescuers busy at the front.
The coach had left the Netherlands on Monday and was on a day‑trip route from Austria to Switzerland when the crash occurred.
Zernez serves as the entry point to the Swiss National Park, a vast Alpine reserve covering over 100 km² of the Engadine valley.
