Pop star Ariana Grande has filed a lawsuit against two unnamed hackers who, according to her, stole and released unreleased tracks and studio footage after infiltrating the computers of her collaborators. The suit, lodged in Los Angeles, alleges that the cyber‑attackers targeted photographers and producers to obtain material that was then sold on the dark web for large sums.
In the complaint, Grande claims that 45 unreleased songs in 2023 alone were stolen, and that since her debut in 2011, hundreds of similar breaches have occurred. She is seeking to unmask the hackers and demands compensation for the damages to her career and privacy.
The lawsuit cites a pattern of abuse spanning several years, including hacking a producer’s mobile device in 2025 to access demos, and deceiving a photographer to send her engineers unreleased photos. Grande accuses the culprits of violating California’s computer hacking laws, invasion of privacy and conversion statutes.
The case comes as Grande prepares to launch her eighth album, “Petal,” and continues a world tour, with the UK leg slated for August. She hinted that these shows may be her last “for a long time,” adding that she intends to give her fans a memorable finale.
