TUNIS, Tunisia (AP) — An international activist group, the Global Sumud Flotilla, has alleged that one of its vessels, the 'Family Boat' flying under a Portuguese flag, was struck by a drone while it was docked in Tunisia. The group reported that there were no injuries among the crew, but footage shared on social media captured a flash of light hitting the vessel, which ignited a fire.

Tunisian authorities, however, have denied any involvement of a drone, asserting that they are conducting an investigation into the cause of a fire found in a life jacket aboard the boat. The flotilla had planned to depart from Tunisia to deliver much-needed aid to Gaza, and they are set to hold a news conference later today to address this incident, reaffirming their commitment to their mission. This flotilla is part of a larger movement committed to providing support to the people of Gaza amidst the ongoing crisis.
