In a significant breach of security, unreleased music from Beyoncé was stolen during a theft that occurred in Atlanta just days before her much-anticipated Cowboy Carter tour performances in the city. Police confirmed that several valuable items, including hard drives containing unreleased tracks, show plans, and set lists, were stolen from a rental car utilized by the singer's choreographer, Christopher Grant, and one of her dancers, Diandre Blue.

The incident took place on July 8, just two days prior to the first of Beyoncé's four shows in Atlanta. According to a police report, the duo had temporarily parked their rented Black Jeep Wagoneer and stepped inside a nearby food hall, only to find their vehicle's rear window smashed and two suitcases missing upon their return. The stolen items were reported to include "five jump drives containing watermarked music, unreleased music, footage plans for shows past and future, and set list," as well as a laptop, designer garments, and Apple AirPods.

Authorities are actively investigating the situation and have issued an arrest warrant related to the theft, although the identity of the suspect has not yet been disclosed. Police utilized tracking capabilities aligned with the stolen laptop and headphones to trace the potential whereabouts of the items, while also conducting fingerprint analyses on the vehicle, which revealed "two very light prints." As of now, it remains uncertain whether any of the stolen possessions have been recovered or if the investigation has yielded any progress.

Beyoncé has been captivating audiences during her performances in Atlanta since July 10, with the final concert scheduled for Monday night. Notably, her husband, rapper Jay Z, made a surprise appearance during the third show, delighting fans. Both Grant and Blue are experienced performers in the music industry, with Grant having collaborated with renowned artists, including Shakira, and Blue featuring alongside Beyoncé in a 2024 Super Bowl advertisement where she debuted two singles from her Cowboy Carter album, released that same year.
